Complete data loss

Email Client: Exchange

I closed Entourage as normal, opened it again and it was as if it was a fresh install. All settings, email accounts, calendar, To Do, and email completely gone.

Has anyone had this happen? It has now happened to me twice. Luckily I do use Exchange and keep everything on the server so I can re-download it all, but I have a large volume of mail there and clearly setting up my accounts again and again isn't the answer here.

Suggestions?

Thanks for your reply. I wasn't sure where to look...

I took a look in Time Machine for the Microsoft User Data folder and found that pre and post issue I had the following folders inside:

Entourage Script Menu Items
Entourage Sound Sets
Excel Script Menu Items
Office 2008 Identities
Saved Attachments

During the issue I only had this folder:

Office 2008 Identities, inside which I had Main then Database only.

I was moving files, but I know that I didn't move anything that was associated with this folder. Could a hard drive error cause this?
