Complex archive rules in Outlook 2003

Is there a way to set the autoarchive to all _read_ (as opposed to unread)
items older than 45 days?

If I set autoarchive options for [Inbox] will those rules propogate through
lower branches in the tree and archive those messages to a corresponding
branch in my archive .pst?

Archiving doesn't pay attention to the read/unread status on an item.
Archive settings don't trickle down to subfolders.
