compress pictures

I have been trying to compress pictures, but when I
select compression for Web/Screen and hit OK, the change
doesn't take place. I have also tried copying, deleting,
and pasting as a jpeg, but still cannot change the
resolution. Any thoughts?

I tried NXpowerlite, but even with extra compression
selected no compression took place. The file size was the
same size.

The correct URL for POINTLess is www.impactlabs.com/pointless. It
would be funny if NX Powerlite and POINTLess were developed by the
same firm. POINTLess is PowerPoint add-in that operates from within
the PPT interface, it provides controls from the PPT file menu and
tool bar. NX Powerlite operates as a stand-alone desktop application.

It may be that your images are properly sized to begin with.
To test one, select it, choose Edit, Copy then switch to MS Photo Edit and
choose Paste New from Clipboard (I think that's the correct wording).

Check File, Properties. What are the dimensions of the image in pixels?

How big is it on the original PPT screen?

Ah, the old copy and paste trick that I am so famous for. Thanks for
catching my error.
