concatenate with column size remain

dear all, i need to concatenate example these 2 fields but after having done
that my name field will become lesser for those name size less than 20
characters. how to make it remain?

name(20) id no(10)
michael smith 6546456430
susan windser hus8742342344
alan fugas rayson 4565345345

after
michael smith6546456430
susan windser hus8742342344
alan fugas rayson456534545

can remain like this???

michael smith 6546456430
susan windser hus8742342344

If Name is on Col A and Id no on Col b and you want the name to be always 20
in length (if I followed your question correctly) then this formula should
do on Col c
=IF(LEN(A1)<20,(A1&REPT(" ",20-LEN(A1))&B1),LEFT(A1,20)&B1)
