I am trying to set up a conditional format for a
worksheet the has about 700 cells. Each cell has a 3
letter abbreviation for a city such as MIA for Miami DEN
for Denver etc. I need the formating make all the cells
red that contain certain cities but It has to be about 10
cities. I cant figure out the formula for conditional
formatting that would make any cell that contains MIA or
IND or DEN or BUF etc. all red. I then have to create a
formula to turn the cells of a list of cities green. Can
anyone help????
Thanks Mark

you could set up your formula condition like this where you test th
cell entry against a list of names - actually against not being missin
from the list

=NOT(ISNA(AND(MATCH("sfo",your list,0),MATCH("mia",your list,0), etc))
