Configuring mike to work with a language training program?

I can't seem to get my microphone to work with "Transparent Language V7.0"
training software. Very frustrating. I wish to be able to compare my speaking
waveform with the given pronounciation etc. Help!

As g'n'o says, it's not an Office issue. You need to contact Transparent
Language and tell them what kind of sound card your computer has. There may
be issues they know about and can help you.

What has this to do with a) Microsoft and b) Office...?
