confused contaact list

I recently upgraded from outlook 2000 to 2003. When i
copied my .pst file from '00 and used it in '03
everything was fine except my contacts. If i go to start
a new email and hit "to" i get this error;

"The address list could not be displayed. The contact
folder associated with this addres list could not be
openedl it may have been moved or deleted, or yo udo not
have permissions. For more information on how to remove
this folder from the outlok address bar, see microsoft
office outlook help."

Now the odd thing is if i go to my contact (not through a
new email) i have a "contacts" and a "conacts in personal
folder" and they both have all my contact in them.
However when i start that new mail it cant find any
contact what so ever. Please someone help me with this
i've tried the help and everything.

You did not configure Outlook to use your old data correctly, so you severed
the connection between the Outlook Address Book and your Contacts Folder.
It's easy to reset:

Probably all you need to do is delete the old and no longer valid references
to Contact Folders. Do so here:
Tools > E-mail accounts > View or change existing directories or address
books > Outlook Address Book > Change.
