Does anyone know how (if it is possible) to configure Entourage 2004
to connect using http? This is easy in Outlook but I cannot find the
settings in Entourage.

Thanks

Can you give us more details? Connect to *what* using HTTP *what*?
For instance, are you wanting to connect to an POP or IMAP email
server, news server, or an Exchange server? Are you wanting to connect
to that server through an HTTP proxy server, or did you mean you want
to connect directly to that server through some sort of HTTP protocol?

Sorry I was not clear, what I would like to do it to add Proxy
settings for our Exchange server into Entourage. In Outlook 2003,
this is pretty simple to configure.

To tell you the truth, i didn't even know it was *possible* to access
Exchange through a proxy server.

I'm kind of baffled as to why you would *need* to use a proxy server to
begin with. Usually proxy servers sit between a company's internal
intranet and the outside world, allowing people inside access to sites
outside of the company intranet. Is your Exchange server not located on
your intranet?

I use a web hosted Exchange Server that I access through Entourage over an
internet connection. If you are trying to do something similar, then, in
your Account Settings, insert the http address of your exchange server and
insert the http address of your public folders under advanced.

An Alternative method that may work if you do not have direct http access to
your server and you want to access through the internet is to enter your OWA
http addresses in place of your Exchange Server address and Public Folders
address.

In the account settings for your exchange account in Entourage, you can use
the same http address that you would use for OWA. This will work just fine.
(see an image of the account settings here:

As for Proxies - if you are connecting through a proxy, Entourage will pick
up the correct proxy settings from the OS System prefs.

The same settings work for me both inside & outside the company network.
