Connecting Entourage 2004 to Exchange

I am trying to set up Entourage 2004 to connect to my Exchange server at
work but it refuses to connect. I have no problem using Outlook 2003 on a
PC. I enter the Exchange server name, my mailbox name, domain, id and
pwd.

From my mac I can browse the network and see the Exchange server and it
allows me to mount a drive so I know that I can see it. I have read
somewhere that it could be proxy settings but which ones?

I have set up the web proxy as I need this to access the web but that is all.

Can anyone suggest what I should check or what else could be the problem?
