Operating System: Mac OS X 10.5 (Leopard) Downloaded Microsoft Remote Desktop Connection Client for Mac 2.0.1 Installed successfully. On execution the connection isn't recognizing the students credentials.

I'm not quite sure this has anything to do with Entourage...
Did you double checked the login, password and domain?
Can you connect using RDC from a PC?
