Connecting to Exchange again

First, I can't seem to find the page that shows how to setup/debug Entourage
with Exchange. I am using a new computer and my web cache is empty. Would
someone have the URL nearby ?

Second, I am trying to connect my laptop to an exchange server and it is not
working. I read the system requirement (on the server side) and asked the
system admin if the server and my account are setup correctly. He says that
everything is fine but the problem is that I am working as a consultant in
an environment that is very hostile to macs and I can't get much more info
out of the system admin person.

So I would like to get better at debuging the problems that I am having
connecting to their server.

I get an error message after I fill the first screen of the "accoutn setup
assistant". The message says something like :

"Can't connect to the exchange server,

€ the sever is busy,
€ can't get the user account,
...."

and a few other lines in the error message. I asked for the "Exchange
server" and the "SMTP server" address and the system admin told me that they
were the same. Is that saying anything about their setup ?

This post is getting to be a little long so I will stop now and follow the
discussion trail later.

If someone could help me debug this and ask specific questions to the System
admin I would really appreciate it because I am really sick of using the
webmail interface to their exchange server.

Thanks

Sylvain

We recently upgraded our Windows server and Exchange Server software, and I
had the same problem connecting with my G4 Powerbook. I did a search at
http://www.macosxhints.com/
(I believe I used the Error number) and got a suggestion that we turn off
one of the server's security settings. Our consultant did this and I then
had no problem connecting. I no longer have the URL for the suggestion, but
I hope this helps.
