Connection Cuts when I press send/receive

Hi there,

Could anyone tell me how to prevent my connection being
cut when I press send/receive using Outlook 6. I'm
connected, writing away happily, I press and I'm cut off.
Then it's redial, whirr, click, click, handshake blah
blah, v. time consuming and painful.

Any tips very gratefully received.
