Connection Error while sending on a network with Linksys wireless router

Whenever I try to send email on a network with a Linksys wireless router I
get connection errors and the email is not sent. The Account settings work
fine on my Airport wireless router at home and also work for my TMobile
account. I have multiple accounts and I can not send on any of them when I
am using a Linksys network. I have no problems receiving

You probably have to change the SMTP server to whatever ISP provides the
Linksys router, in the Tools | Account setup dialog. Don't forget to change
it back when you return home.

Anybody know a way of doing this besides manually, for each account?
