Connection failed in Project Center

I have been on the phone with numerous levels of support and nobody ca
figure this out, so I thought I would give all of you try.
We are an office running Mac OS 10.4.2 and Entourage 2004 with al
updates. We all share some projects in project center and some file
within the projects. It works just fine, with the exception of on
computer. Whenever we try to click on a file name to open a file w
get this message:
"Connection failed. The server may not exist or it is not operational

The file does end up opening eventually, but it pops that message abou
10 times first and then spins for a long time before finally openin
it.

Best guess is a faulty network connection on that computer - either the
network card in the computer, or the cabling, switches & routers it is
connected through.

But wouldn't that affect the ability to connect to the network at all?
She has no problem sharing with anyone else on the network, onl
through Project Center. She also doesn't have any other networ
related issues

Yes, I would expect it to show up in other ways, but network related
problems are notoriously difficult to track down.

I suppose the best thing to try would be to install a TCP packet sniffer
(like tcpFlow) and see if you can spot where the errors are occurring in the
chatter between client & server.

There are some details here:
