Contact Corruption

Hello all, new to the group and wondering if anyone has seen this one:

When editing multiple contacts within Entourage using the ³Next² and
³Previous² buttons (the green up and down arrows on the upper left of the
contact window) some information is copied from the first contact into the
subsequent contacts. Specifically the data copied was all the data on the
³Work² tab/section and the ³Spouse² field from the ³Personal² tab/section.

Steps taken:
1. Open one contact
2. Edit some data
3. Click ³Save² button
4. Click ³Next² button to move to next contact
5. Repeat steps 2 through 4 until done
6. Close the last contact edited

After that you may notice some of the contacts now have the same
work-related info.

System Info:
* Mac OS X 10.4.7
* Microsoft Office 2004 (Ver. 11.2.5 (060620)
* PowerMac G5 (Dual Proc. 2.7 GHz PowerPC)
* Not sure if anything else is relevant....

Any advice or comments are welcome.

Peace,
Brian

I don't understand what you mean by a "Next" button. Where is this "Next"
button?

Yup -- seen it and posted about it a couple of times. The Previous and Next
buttons he's referring to are on the Contact window -- the Up and Down
arrows on the toolbar.

I keep imagining that since this is such an egregious bug, it will get fixed
in each next service pack, but that doesn't seem to be the case.

I fouled up a large part of my Address Book before I discovered the bug --
hope others are paying attention to this one and can avoid the same.
