Contact email not put in inbox

I was under the understanding that Entourage would put emails into my
"Inbox" from people whose email address was in the Entourage address
book. However, sometimes this doesn't happen. Some are put in the
"Deleted Items" folder. I have no filters set, so it can't be that.
Please enlighten me.

You must have a rule that is moving the message. The most likely culprit is
the Mailing List Manager - it's too easy to set up a MLM rule by accident,
when you are marking a message as 'not junk' - the wording of that dialog is
ambiguous to say the least. Check if there is an MLM entry (look for MLM
entries under the tools menu) with the Deleted Items folder as the target
folder. If there is, delete it and all should be back to normal.

FWIW....There are three types of rules used in Entourage to manage your
mail. The Mailing List Manager (MLM) and Junk Mail Filter (JMF) are names
for specialized rules. Rules are custom rules that you create.
