"Contact is Me" is grayed out.

Hi folks,

I am unable to change my contact information to a new card because the menu
item to do this ("Contact is Me") in the Contact menu is grayed out, both
for my existing card and for the new one I want to use. Any suggestions?

You can only make the Me contact in the local Address Book "On My Computer".
Are you attempting to do it instead in a Contacts folder on an Exchange
account? That's not possible (because Exchange contacts might be deleted
from Outlook, and Entourage must have a non-deletable Me contact).

Do it in the local Address Book "On My Computer" on the card you want. (You
may find your own card there already, and can just change the data).

If that's not it, you have a corrupt database. Hold down Option key at
launch of Entourage and select Rebuild.

Thanks Paul, you are right on - it is the first explanation you give. I'll
have to see how to work around this.
