this is a subject that has been several times in this group with no real
solution / ending. its just seems to drift off. Something that I find all
too common with microsoft products, come up with a glitch that MS
can't/doesn't want to admit / solve and there is a wall of silence.
I have a old pent 4 desktop at home (Dell dimension 4400 - xp with latest
services patches), a new desktop at work (dell optiplexgx280 - xp pro) and a
brand new toshiba qosmio laptop (05 xp media center).
all using the same .pst file - the home desktop and laptop, have no problems
showing / chaning/ deleting a picture in the standard contact form. however
the office desktop has never been able to show a picture! on the contacts
that have pictures attached, the default pic icon box doesn't even show
(unless you delete the picture and the default box reappears) .....
some folks seem to have some luck by running dectect and repair, most
others, inlduding myself, have see no result from this approach.
Has anyone solved this? Is there any data on this problem on other sites?
any ms knowlege base articles on this? is there a MS outlook
complaint/customer site/email address one can approach and actually get a
response?!
