Contacts Expanded and Display Wrong Data

I upgraded Outlook 2000 to 2002 and added ActiveSync 3.7
at the same time (so to use a PocketPC).

Some of my contacts have several emails per contact.
These contacts have now become two contact entries in the
address book - the display name is the previous name with
the email in brackets.
e.g. Fred Bloggs with 2 emails becomes Fred Bloggs
(email1) and Fred Bloggs (email2).

When I open each contact they each contain what was the
default email address and not the correct one. I also
cannot enter a second address to fix it manually.

Any ideas please?
