Contacts in my Address book are "dimmed"

Hi all,
I have MS Office XP and I am using Outlook for Email.
Problem is that the contacts in my Address book have become SO DIM and
blurred that I HAVE TO STRAIN MY EYES to read them!!! Other applications
are working OK, the display is OK. Can someone HELP pls???
