Contacts not showing in address book

I have recently installed outlook on new PC.
Have tried to recreate my address book, and have followed all steps from MS
Help.

I can not get any of old contacts to show in address book, but my 2
distribution lists do show there.

If i add new names to contacts or address book they show up.

Any clues anyone please??

You appear not to be displaying the correct Contacts Folder in the Outlook
Address Book view.
You've told us nothing that would permit us to know what you did wrong.
"Followed all the steps in MS Help" could mean anything. Use the Folder List
view to examine your Outlook profile to see how many different Contacts
Folders you have.
You never add contacts to the address book view.
