I have a problem with Microsoft Outlook contacts
occasionally 'merging' with each other. I'll have 2
different contacts who have different address, company
and phone number fields but share the same name. I found
that when I move these 2 contacts around different
folders that the fields from these 2 contacts will start
copying certain fields into each other. For instance, I
might have 2 contacts with the name "Anna Williams" but
one works for company A in Australia while the other
works for company Z in the U.S. When I start moving them
around various folders I notice that the phone numbers
for the "Anna Williams" in company A start appearing in
the phone number fields for "Anna Williams" working in
company Z.
I've set the "File As" field to show both the name of the
contact as well as the company, but this doesn't solve
this problem. Any ideas?
