If you mean schedule margin, make it a task.
You could also use lag time.
In some instances, when a work product is passed between two schedules (or
teams), we assume there is a fixed amount of time (lag) between output from
one organization and receipt by the next.

If you mean something else, such as a contingency for a "conditional branch"
(an extra trip through test, or having to wait for a 2nd inspection) that may
or may not occur... well, that is not really possible. All tasks entered
will count. You could insert your conditional branching as stand alone tasks
without an entrance predecessor or exit link successor. Then, if the branch
became a reality, you would like it in manually.
