Continual switching between Entourage 2004 and Outlook 2003 (Win)

Hi all.

I've searched the postings, but can't find the answer I'm looking for.
Apologies if this *has* been answered already.

Here's what I want to do...

At work, I have a corporate email account on a Windows Exchange 2003
server, and I use Outlook 2002 SP2 on a PC at work to access this. I
have a long commute to and from the office, so I would like to use an
iBook to stay productive whilst I'm sat on the train, by
answering/composing emails whilst offline.

If I have Entourage 2004 on my iBook, can I do the following:

1) Use my windows PC with Outlook during the normal working day
2) Before I leave the office, connect my iBook to the LAN and get a
current 'snapshot' of all my emails (Inbox & Sent mail) synch-ed with
Entourage 2004.
3) Work on these emails, offline, on my iBook whilst on the train
4) When I get home, connect back to our corporate Exchange 2003 server
using OWA in Entourage2004 to synch back with the server
5) or, failing that step 4 wouldn't work (probs with OWA for example),
wait until the following morning when I'm back in the office,
re-connect my iBook to the LAN to synch back with the Exchange server,
and then move onto my desktop PC and continue to work for the day in
Outlook.

A touch convoluted, but if I'm going to get a notebook to work on the
train, I really really don't want to buy a Wintel machine. I have to
work with one all day, and that's enough!
Your help would be appreciated.

Apologies for the multiple postings of this question. I was having a
bit of finger trouble!

I am transitioning from a PC to a Mac this week; it will take me a few
more days to organize and move my files, archived e-mails, etc.,
because I can only do this at lunchtime.

Meanwhile, I am doing *exactly* what you propose. 2 days now.
For the sake of carefulness, my only proviso is that I unplug the PC's
ethernet cable while the PowerBook is talking to the Exchange server
and viceversa.

It is cool to see either the Mac or PC delete or add messages that have
been read, moved, deleted, or sent.

Cheers,

There should be no need to do that - the system should be capable of
handling two connections (just like you can open OWA when the outlook client
is still connected).
