Continue previos list disabled

I am doing a document with outlined numbering not any
complex, it goes just until level 6 and it doesn't have
any strange but suddenly now if I try to insert a new
heading I can not tell him to continuos with the previous
list because these options in the Numbering Dialog Box are
not enable, why ???

If you will make sure that your outline list is set up as described at
http://www.shaunakelly.com/word/numbering/OutlineNumbering.html, you will
never have to make these settings manually.
