Conversation, Category, & Project Columns keeps coming back

Every time I start Entourage 2004, I have to 'reset' the view on mail
folders. While this takes less than 10 seconds to accomplish, it is
very annoying.

I don't need/want to see the Conversation, Category, or Project
Columns, so I disable them. Problem is they keep coming back. Well,
Conversation seems to have gotten the hint here lately. Although on
Public folders all 3 keep coming back.

Sort by groups will stay away on mail folders, but keeps coming back
in the public folders as well.

I've done some searching and came up with no answers.

Thoughts?
