conversion on numeric amount into words

I would like to know that how can we convert a given
amount into words with the use of formula's. I do not know
any thing about macro's or VB programming.
Similarly i also would like the same information for MS-
Access also.
For example 34,500/-
This should automatically come as "Thirty four thousand
five hundred only"

no chance with worksheet functions, you have to your a UDF to do th
