Convert drawing abject back to original format?

Carl

I inserted a .wmf picture into a table. I needed to change a color in the picture, so I right-clicked and selected "edit picture." When I did this, Word pushed the image out of the table, and it won't let me put it back in (I get an error message saying that drawing objects cannot be placed in callouts, etc). How do I exit the edit mode and/or convert this object back to a .wmf so it can be inserted into the table again?

Which version of Word are we dealing with? did you try Edit/Cut, then Edit/Paste Special, pasting as a Word picture (or bitmap)?
