Convert publisher2003 page (letterhead template.pub) to word2003.d

Have just about gone crazy trying to make "office" templates (a combination
of text and graphics) with Pub2003 only to find that I cannot transfer them
to word2003. I don't have the usage to be worth printing separate pages and
then putting them in my printer for each specific usage. HELP Please.

The two programs are not the same. Publisher is a page layout application, Word is
not.

There are solutions, you can recreate the template in Word by the copy/paste method,
you can save the template as an image and insert it into Word.

I don't quite understand the "usage" statement.

I have also spent more time and resources trying to solve this problem than
should be necessary.

While it is clear that these two programs are "not the same", it is
difficult to understand why, when packaged as a suite, the incompatibility
has not been addressed. I am surprised that Microsoft has not addressed this
to enable users to work with the suite with markedly less frustration. A
user would think that Microsoft would want to make such programs easy to use
for the benefit of both Microsoft and the user. I hope that happens in the
future. The "workaround" offered here of cutting and pasting from Publisher
to Word, which doesn't actually work well, is met with less than optimal
results.

If Word and Publisher were the same, then it wouldn't be necessary to have two
programs. Everything would be integrated and all would be right with the world.
Word is not fun when comes to page layout. Publisher is not fun when you have long
documents to type.

And for what it's worth, Excel is incomaptible with Word, and Powerpoint is
incompatible with Outlook, and Access is incompatible with OneNote, and
InfoPath is incompatible with Publisher, and etc., etc.
