Converting Date Time format to Month YEar format

Hi

I Need some help in Excel with date function. I have the
data in one of the column as "3/16/2004 2:58:19 PM" I
want it be converted to "03/2004" and "16-Mar-03" not only
in display but the actual value. That is when I do the
pivot table different dates of the same month must be
taken as one single data. Please let me know in case you
could help.

in a pivot table simply group by 'month' No need for changing this kind
of data
