Converting my database to use with Mail, Address Book, an Contacts,and iCal?

Currently using Entourage 2004, though I am thinking of switching at
least on one of my macs so I can synch with my iPod Touch. I am using
Entourage 2004, and am not a heavy user of all of the features.

1. Has anyone used both and have an opinion either way regarding
features/ease of use/lack of features?

2. Currently I transfer my database file back-and-forth from home to
work for Entourage. How would I do this if I switch? Anyone have any ideas?

3. How can I export data from Entourage to do this?
