converting new pub files to pub 2000

I have received some files in a current pub format and my
pub2000 will not open them.
anyone out there in publisher cyberspace provide some
assistance????

I have received 4 files from one of my suppliers.
When I try to open them there is an error message that
indicates "cannot open from a different version".
Do I have to replace my authorised version of publisher?

dot paules at gmail dot com. I'll save them as Pub 2000 for you.
