Converting to DVD

R

Richard

I have a problem with my presentations using too much of my system resources
which in turn is causing the audio to be out of sync with the slides. I am
using a Pentium 4 1.8gh machine with 640M RAM, but it still is a problem if
I use the computer for anything in addition to the slideshow first. The CPU
never seems to keep up.

I thought that it might be easier to convert the presentation to DVD format.

Is there a way to do that in PowerPoint? If not, what would be a fairly
inexpensive way to do this for a one time use?

Thanks,

Richard

You've got plenty of machine to handle this and there is no reason to go the
DVD route. I suspect you have a video that is having a hard time playing in
the MCI media player (used in PowerPoint). You don't indicate what type of
file it is or where it came from so it's impossible for me to make a guess
as to the issue you are seeing.

If it's a one time solution you are looking for I invite you to use the
fully functioning trial version of PFCMedia (www.pfcmedia.com) to solve it.
This add in will take the movie and process it for use in PowerPoint
automatically and the resulting presentation will play on any Windows
machine running any version of PowerPoint.
