Coordination with .mac

Oddly, my email from my .mac account now is automatically
being deleted after being downloaded into Entourage. This
occurs when I am traveling if I leave Entourage open on my
home computer.

I don't recall changing my Entourage settings before this
happened. And, I now cannot figure out which setting will
let me keep my email messages on the .mac IMAP server even
if the email is pulled down into Entourage.

All help would be much appreciated.

There are two possibilities I can think of. One would be that you have your
..mac account set up as POP instead of IMAP in Entourage, without leaving
messages on the server. If you've done that, you'll have to delete the POP
account and set it up as IMAP.

Actually that's the only thing I can think of. The other way is so elaborate
I think it's most unlikely. (You'd have to have a rule that deletes all
messages and then another setting to purge from Deleted Items.) So I think
you must had it set up in Tools/Accounts as a POP account.
