Copy/Highlight Content

Not sure how to explain this but here I go.

If I'm previewing something in my Entourage Mail (2008) and I want to
highlight and say copy it I can not get the page to scroll down past the
bottom of the visible page on the monitor. It doesn't work if I open the
email too. It used to work then stopped about 3-4 weeks ago. I can click
and highlight in all my other applications like Word and Safari.

If there is a setting I'd like directions on how to reset it.

Hmmmm, this isn't a normal indication of database corruption, but we need to
eliminate your database first. Create a new Identity in Entourage and test a
message there. I would drag a test message to the desktop for testing in the
new Identity. If that works, then you need to rebuild your database. How to
rebuild:

You can also select an entire message by doing Command-A. This wouldn't
require scrolling.

I created a new identity and then dragged over a multipage email from the
desktop. When I opened it in the new Entourage workspace and tried to
highlight below the end of the window the same thing happened. If I try to
push the curser below the window and let go and then scroll down then the
entire document is highlighted; this also happened under my original
identity.

The issue is to copy and scroll beyond the bottom of the window and stop at
the appropriate place instead of capturing the entire email.

Yes, just tested and see the same behavior, but found a way to copy. With
text highlighted, use the down arrow key to move the page down. Tap the key
to move slowly. If you go past, it's easy to move back up the page.

Don't know why I didn't think of that but it works because I just tried it.

Why do you think its behaving that way? It doesn't seem normal and I hadn't
had that problem before.

Do you think Microsoft has an answer?

I imagine it's a very low priority item. Send feedback so it get entered in
the database for bugs.
