Copy Picture to Office Wizard Fails

I've just been set-up on Project Professional and when I attempt to use the
copy picture feature to copy my project to word or powerpoint, I get the
message "Copy Picture Failed'.

Any ideas? I thought the image was just copied to my clipboard and then
brought into the target application. Does this have something to do with my
collaborate options? (Set to collaborate with MS server - but no project URL
value).

Any help would be appreciated - thank you.

Hi TPM,

There have been several posts to this newsgroup concerning the Copy Picture
to Office Wizard which is available on the Analysis toolbar. I have been
unable to recreate the problem using Project 2003 Professional (SP-1) and
Office XP.

Have you tried using the Copy Picture button on the Standard toolbar? You
can then take a picture of the view, save it as a GIF file and then place
the GIF file into Word or PowerPoint.

Hope this helps. Let us know how you get along.

When I use the standard copy paste function to copy the project and attempt
to save it as a .gif file in ms photo editor, I'm not able to copy the gantt
chart and the pasted info has extensive formatting problems.

I've also tried saving the plan as a web page, and while this works, the
format is also unattractive. Can you recommend a method to share project
plans via email with non MS project users? (I'm using Project Professional
with Windows 2000).
