Last week, I discovered a capability of MS Project that is very well hidden.
Copy Picture to Office Wizard is similar to the camera icon except that the
wizard sizes the picture to the page. ToolsCustomizeToolbars does not list
"Copy Picture to Office Wizard" as a command or a macro, but it is available
on the Analysis toolbar and Help and trainining are available for it.
Training is provided for the button at
http://office.microsoft.com/training/training.aspx?AssetID=RC011969171033,
but I submitted the comments below about the training.
Nothing is mentioned about Copy Project Information to an Office Program
being limited to one page at a time.
A reasonable person would expect the wizard to determine how many tasks
could fit on a page and copy the data to as many pages as required to copy
the entire selection. Since the wizard does not have this capability, the
training should describe how to handle copying an entire project. It should
also mention that the actions performed by this wizard are invisible when
recording a macro and you cannot find any reference to it in VBA.
The people on my site (outside of my department) like to use PowerPoint for
all presentations, even when they have Project available to them. Does anyone
have a "Print to PowerPoint" macro that places appropriately sized pictures
of Project views (including headers and footers), into PowerPoint for all
selected tasks?
