Fellow Listers,

Is it possible‹and what is the easiest way‹to copy (not move) email from my
imap (Apple .Mac) saved folder to my pop (Earthlink) saved folder?

TIA!

I'm guessing they're all in one folder. If so, open the IMAP saved folder,
click a message in the list, go to Edit -> Select All, then drag holding
down the Option key to the saved folder under "On My Computer" and release.
That'll copy them all to the other folder. Repeat for other .Mac folders,
if necessary.

Mickey,

Thanks, that did it! I knew that there had to be a way. I just had to ask
the right question of the right person!

Drag the messages to a local folder - or even drag the whole folder to "On
My Computer" or another local folder (to be a subfolder). If you're dragging
messages don't drag more than 500 or so at a time.

Normally you need to option-drag (hold down option key while dragging) to
copy - just like the Finder. But dragging from an IMAP server to local, or
vice versa, will copy (like dragging files to a mounted disk in the Finder)
without the Option. You do need the option key when dragging local-to-local
or from one location on a server to another location on the same server.
