Copying calendar

C

Chris

I am running Entourage 2004 on my MB Pro. For the last several years
I have used it to communicate with others at my university via an
Exchange-based system. I have also used it to receive email from
other accounts, e.g., gmail.

I have left the university and no longer use the Exchange based
system. I changed my default email to gmail and, in the process, my
address book and calendar now default to new databases that are not
university-related. That's fine, but the problem is that I don't want
to lose the calendar or address book I created when the Exchange based
system was the default. How do I copy or otherwise move that calendar
and address book to the calendar which now comes up by default, or do
I have to manually reenter everything? Exporting doesn't seem to do
it.

Thanks.

If you no longer have access to the Address Book, I'm confused over how you
are going to get your data.

Spanning Sync Synchronize Google Calendar and Apple iCal. $25 gets you a
one-year subscription to the service and $65 gets you a permanent license.

BTW, if you had put "Copying Exchange Calendar" in the subject you would
attract the Exchange experts that might have a better answer.

The easiest method of moving calendar and contact items to/from an
Exchange account is to simply drag and drop from one to the other.

For calendar items go into the Calendar view and create a new custom
view on the left so that you can display everything as a list from your
Exchange calendar. Then select all of your calendar events and drag them
onto your new calendar. Do the same with your Exchange Contacts and
your Address Book.

Hope this helps!

Bill,

Don't want to seem like any more of an idiot than I already do, but how do I create the "custom view" to display calendar events in a list for easy dragging and dropping?
