Copying emails to keep duplicates

How do I copy emails and keep a duplicate in a separate folder? My server will not download the messages so I need to copy them before I delete them. Any suggestions?

If you're wanting to copy messages to a different folder in the same
Exchange account then you can hold the Option key as you drag messages
from one folder to the other.

If you're wanting to copy messages from your Exchange account to any of
the folders "On My Computer" then just drag the message. It copies by
default.
