Copying vs. Moving messages from POP to IMAP account

I'm running Entourage 11.3.3 and I have an POP email account that I
manually move certain messages to an IMAP folder (my .mac account) to
archive them. The annoying thing is that it doesn't move them...it
copies them, leaving the original in my POP inbox. So I'm doing a
manual compare all the time to see what's been moved versus what in
the inbox.

I can't seem to find a setting that controls this this and it doesn't
happen when I'm doing POP to a local folder, that correctly just moves
the message rather than copying it.

Any suggestions?

Bump for this.

I've also now confirmed that I have a PC Laptop running Thunderbird
that I do the exact same thing in as above...When I drag a message
from my POP inbox to my IMAP folder, it Moves the messages...doesn't
Copy them.

Try holding down the Command key once you've started dragging the message to
move the message rather than copy it. Or, you can click the "Move" toolbar
button, press Command-Shift-M, or go to Message > Move To to move the
message.
