Corrupt Entourage Data File Question

I need advice before I do something stupid. I'm having a problem where
my data from my Treo 600 to my Entourage 2004 does not get transfered
and I understand that dragging my Entourage Data Folder to the trash
helps this. My question is do I just do a normal sync or do I have the
Handheld overwrite Entourage or vise versa? Help. I don't want to
erase my information.

Dragging your entourage data folder (the 'MUD' folder) will delete all the
mail, contacts, calendar information, tasks, notes, categories, mailing list
entries, rules, categories, projects and anything else I forgot to mention.
I don't think that is what you want to do...

Is is O.K. to just syc once I delete the Entourage Storage file vs.
handheld overwrites desktop or vise versa?
