Corrupt Outbox

Can anyone advise? My Outbox has messages in it, but I
can't see them. I just see the blue number against the
folder. This happens when I am composing off-line and
saving to the Outbox before sending. It happened once
before and the messages would not even send. That time, I
used a repair program, name forgotten, that hides on our
computers. Can anyone suggest a permanent cure? I am
really worried about losing messages and not knowing if
they have been sent.

Sounds like your view for the Outbox is wrong. Change or reset the view for
the Outbox folder under View-> Current View.

The utility you are probably are looking for is called scanpst.exe
