Corrupted date/timestamps - different issue

I have a probolem with incorrect date/timestamps with most of the mail
in my Entourage (11.1.0) folders. However, this does not mirror the
solutions covered elsewhere in this newsgroup;

I had a problem 2 days ago with my G4. When it restarted, the imap mail
in the inbox reloaded. This time, it showed the current time when it
reloaded the mail instead of the original received time. It did this
for the bulk of the email, but *not* all of it. I checked the imap
server files, and the time stamps were consistent with the new,
incorrect times in my Entourage folder. I ran a shell script that
corrected the times based on the headers. So far so good.

I then resync'd my mail, but the received timestamps remained incorrect
(for the 90% of the messages in my inbox that had become corrupted).
However the messages on the server still showed the corrected
(original) date/times. I then powered up an WinXp box, running Mozilla,
with an AMAP account, and connected to the IMAP server. The Windows box
showed the correct times - i.e. the timestamps matched the server's
times.

I then started Apple Mail on my G4, created an account, and connected.
It downloaded the mail from the IMAP server, but with exactly the same
corrupted timestamps as Entourage.

I then went back to Entourage, deleted the imap account, rebuilt the
database (I also have an exchange account that has not been
misbehaving), then recreated the Entourage IMAP account, and connected.

Same problem.

I cannot see where else the mail timestamps are being stored or cached.
I will run the script discussed earlier but I am at a loss to explain
why Entourage is not picking up the correct timestamps after I have
corrected them on the server, yet Mozilla does. Even when I delete what
I believe to be the entire email database. Does anyone have any ideas?

Thanks...
