Rather than "Folders on My Computer", how about using the (less verbose and
Windows-centric) OS X machine name?

Rather than "microsoft.public.mac.offic..." how about truncating to
"p.m.o.e", for example, in order to accommodate a complete item count in the
typically narrow preview pane?

I'd like to use html email unless a contact prefers plain text. How about
adding that field to the Address Book? Is plain text preferred on lists and
usenet? I suppose that you could add preferences for that?

I'd like to have the newsgroup name right-justified, since all I see now is
4 instances of "microsoft.publi".

You can send feedback to the developers on this issue. Use the last menu
item under the 'Help' menu - "Send Feedback on Entourage". This message will
go directly to the developers. The more people that request this feature the
more likely it is to be implemented.
