couldn't reopen a saved ppt file after system crashed

D

david

when editing a ppt file (saved before), system crashed.
after restart pc, couldn't open the ppt file any more.

Reported reason:
"PowerPoint can't read this file
The file you tried to open does not appear to be a PowerPoint file (.ppt).
Check the original file to find out the real file type; you may be able to
edit it in another program designed for that file type."

Thanks!

Hi David,

Probably bad news. This is probably due to a corrupted PPT file, possibly
not completely saved during your crash. You can try the suggestions listed
at:

In the future you may also want to use the sequential save add-in to keep
back-up copies of your work fairly current.
