COUNT command

Thanks for the suggestion on "COUNT". My new problem is that some of the cells contain text AND numbers and I still want it to count. The syntax you gave me seems to count only the cells with numbers. ie:

Vehicle number

102
104
256
A01
A11

total = 3 (should be 5)
