count tasks, completed, outstanding etc

Hi, i need to find an easy way to count how many tasks are completed, how
many are outstanding and how many there are altogether??

We simply copy tasks in Excel and count there. Anything we can do directly in
MS Project????

Hello Elle,

Look at the Project Summary Report. (View > Reports, Overview). It
contains a section on Task status including:
Task not yet started
Tasks in progress
Tasks completed
Total tasks

Hello Cajeto 63,

Sorry, no, I don't believe so. You could certainly export simple task
data to excel on a weekly basis (task name, % complete) and then run a
CountIF in excel to count the number of complete and incomplete tasks.
