Count unique values in dinamic table

Hi everyone:
I'm looking for a way to make a dinamic table to count
unique values.
For example, if I have:
PETER
PETER
PETER
MARY
MARY

These are 5 records, but only 2 people.
If there's a way, please tell me how.

=SUMPRODUCT((A1:A20<>"")/(COUNTIF(A1:A20,A1:A20)+(A1:A20="")))
