Countif Else?

COUNTIF(A1:A10,"1") else COUNTIF(A1:A10,"2")? How do I make this work

If you mean to count 1's and 2's...

=SUM(COUNTIF(A1:A10,{1,2}))

=SUMPRODUCT((A1:A10=1)+(A1:A10=2))
